In the context of the European programme Lefevre Trust – British Council, the Greek Secondary School of London and the groupe scolaire EIC Tourcoing collaborated to carry out the project on the subject: “Healthy Lifestyle”. The project aims to study and promote the importance of sports combined with a healthy diet/lifestyle in our young peoples’ culture. The nature of all sports unites people together and our aim in this project is to encourage solidarity amongst young people across Europe and to incite them to take responsibility of their own lives.
In this project, young people are able to learn how to appreciate sports and games through practicing specific sports/activities which enable them to integrate a form of sports or physical activity in their daily routine.
Moreover, they will engage themselves in comprehending what a proper diet is by participating in searching and making proper meals along with exploring their nutritional importance in young peoples’ lives.
As a result, students understand that by practicing sports regularly with the support of a healthy diet, it leads to a longer and healthier life.  Above all, this project shows, highlight and work on the importance of having respect for others and to keep one’s dignity through fairplay and sportsmanship.
